Advanced Wound Care for Cuts & Grazes

FW dressings absorb excess fluid, but maintain a moist wound environment. It is known within the nursing and scientific communities that the use of "moist" wound dressings is superior to traditional, or "dry" wound dressings.

If a wound is allowed to dry out the rate of healing is reduced, a scab can form, and the risk of scar formation is increased. However if a wound is kept too wet the surrounding tissue can become over-hydrated and the risk of infection is increased.

FW sheet hydrogel dressings are particularly suited to helping to maintain a healthy moisture balance because they are capable of both actively hydrating dry tissue, as well as removing excess fluid from the wound and surrounding tissue.

In clinical use: FW Sheet Gel dressing before and after removal from a trauma wound. Moisture levels are optimised both over and surrounding the wound, and bruising has been minimised underneath the gel island.
